Ski Instructor Training and Snowboard Instructor Training

We offer full time ski instructor training and snowboard instructor training courses in New Zealand for those who want to become experts and teach around the world.

The Cardrona High Performance Centre (HPC) has a range of Instructor Training programmes for aspiring ski and snowboard instructors. Our programmes are designed to suit your needs, timeframe and budget, and will give you the opportunity to gain an internationally recognised qualification and open a pathway to overseas employment and travel.

Cardrona HPC is the "graduate school" or performance centre at Cardrona Alpine Resort for helping advanced skiers and snowboarders become instructors and expert skiers and boarders.

During the last decade we have helped export professional ski and snowboard instructors successfully around the world. Hundreds have completed ski instructor certification and snowboard instructor certification. We are proud of our experience and knowledge as trainers and are looking forward to sharing it with you.

Our mission at the Cardrona High Performance Centre is to run the best instructor training programme internationally. We have a great team of trainers who are highly motivated and passionate about there jobs. Our product quality is constantly assessed and managed so that we continue developing relevant, enjoyable and rewarding courses. We are all focused on developing instructors who graduate out of training and do an excellent job teaching and coaching snowsports.

The courses we run are designed to prepare you to sit the NZSIA qualifications. There are two exams that you will sit during the season. The first level is the, NZSIA / SBINZ Certificate in Snow Sports Instruction (CSI). If you are successful at this level you will be able to then go on to and sit your NZSIA/SBINZ Stage 1 Ski or Snowboard Instructors qualification.
